Two Men Accused for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the death in prison of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) stand indicted for homicide and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by investigating officers.
Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
