The Prince of Wales Set to Attend COP30 Climate Summit in South America
The Prince of Wales is scheduled to attend the COP30 climate summit in South America next month, as announced by palace sources.
The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday night at a reception ahead of the environmental conference, which is set to be held in the northern Brazilian city of Belém.
Father and son were present at the museum gathering, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a climate summit preparatory event co-hosted by the British authorities.
Climate Leadership Commitment
The King has been a long-time champion of environmental conservation - and the Prince of Wales has inherited the mission, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be hosted in Rio before the COP summit.
Royal sources have characterized Prince William's attendance at the forthcoming conference as taking on an important role in "global climate discussions".
Previous Activities
The monarch and his heir, making a joint entrance in the official car, were welcomed attendees such as environmentalists, researchers, climate change campaigners, diplomats and politicians.
This involvement involved presentations together with President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Marine Economy Conference in the Principality of Monaco in recent months.
Environmental Prize Connection
The climate conference will align with the the royal's climate innovation prizes, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the previous day he attends the COP summit on the sixth of November.
